Shower and Tub Installation and Repair in Temecula
Valves, pans and remodel plumbing, done to pass inspection.
Shower and tub plumbing hides behind tile, so small leaks do big damage before anyone sees them. The EPA estimates a showerhead leaking 10 drips per minute wastes about 500 gallons a year, but the leaks we worry about more are inside the wall and under the shower pan.
We repair and replace valves, fix pan and drain leaks, and rough in new showers and tubs for remodels.

Why cartridges stick and heads clog.
Temperature swings and stiff handles
If the shower goes cold when someone flushes, the pressure-balance cartridge is sticking, usually from hard water scale. Replacing the cartridge fixes most of these. If the valve body is a discontinued 1990s model, we replace the valve and keep the tile damage small by working from the back side of the wall when possible.
Shower pan leaks
In older tiled showers, the waterproof pan liner under the mortar bed can fail at the drain or curb. Signs are stains on the ceiling below, wet carpet next to the shower, or baseboard swelling. We test the pan by plugging the drain and flooding it, and test the drain and valve separately so you know what actually failed before anyone removes tile.
Remodels
Tub-to-shower conversions are a common Temecula remodel. We relocate drains, set new valves at the right depth for your tile, install linear drains and add blocking for grab bars. New valves must be pressure-balance or thermostatic types, and new showerheads must meet California's 1.8 gpm limit. The work is permitted and inspected.
